Our company is licensed to work throughout Maryland. However, we earn our living and pay our bills by caring for trees and improving the appearance of our customer's properties, not driving from here to there. So, the less time our tree and landscape crews spend traveling, the more time we have to do the work that we do best. If your project is located in any of the following communities, it is most likely within our service area. If not, you are still welcome to contact us to see if we might be able to schedule your project in conjunction with other work we might be asked to perform in your area so that labor and equipment travel expenses could be spread out over multiple projects. It only takes a few minutes to ask us...

Baltimore City & Baltimore County, including Owings Mills, Reisterstown, Randallstown, Pikesville, Towson, Lutherville, Timonium, Woodstock, Catonsville, and Stevenson.

Howard County, including Ellicott City, Columbia, Elkridge, and Hanover.

Carroll County, including Sykesville, Eldersburg, Marriottsville, and Westminster, MD.

Unfortunately, this is one of those commonly asked questions that doesn't have a meaningful answer – sort of like, what is the average cost of a new deck, or a fence around our yard, or mulch to cover our planting beds, or a two-week family vacation in our favorite location? While we could certainly add up all the tree trimming or tree removal costs in any given year and divide that amount by the number of completed projects to arrive at an "average cost" for a specific type of tree or landscape service, it is impossible to know if that average cost might apply to your individual project... without first inspecting your specific project and evaluating the situation in person.

Virtually every project we encounter is unique in one aspect or another. Depending upon the tree species, trunk size, overall height, direction it might be leaning, crown and root spread, exact location, age and condition, ease of access, proximity to power lines, conditions on the ground around the tree, debris disposal requirements, and any number of unique conditions, your specific project could be considerably more or less expensive than any "average" that we might provide. In other words, average costs are not much help in making decisions when the average does not apply to your project, which is why we encourage you to contact us to discuss the specific work you have in mind.

Special insurance inspections, reports and written evaluations typically need to conform to specific requirements of the insurance carrier or agency requesting the information. Accordingly, there may be a considerable amount of time and work involved with compiling and submitting documents in the required format(s), the costs of which we need to recoup. While we cannot always provide a fixed fee schedule for these services, we should be able to provide a range of expected costs after speaking with you and/or your insurance carrier to determine exactly what might be involved.

Yes, we frequently offer a discount for work completed during our winter work season (December 15th through March 15th). Depending upon the scope of work, we may also be able to offer senior discounts or discounts for active duty military members. However, discounts of any type may not be combined. Please have a discussion with your estimator for availability and specifics.

Depending upon where you live and where the tree is located, you may need a permit before doing any trimming or pruning of a street tree. In accordance with the State of Maryland's Roadside Tree Law:

"Before a roadside tree is trimmed or cared for in any way, a Tree Care Permit must be obtained from the Maryland DNR Forest Service. A roadside tree is any tree that grows all or in part within a public road right-of-way. A permit is also needed to plant a tree within the public road right-of-way.

Any work (including the removal of a tree having a permit) performed on a street tree must be done by a Licensed Tree Care Expert.

When tree care is performed on a roadside tree without a permit, a fine may be assessed or more severe actions taken by the Department of Natural Resources."
